To install NumberOk the following is required:
SW NumberOk distribution file anpr_setup.exe. Valid stable release is always accessible at the link NumberOk last version
Activation code (Licence Key).
Run program installation on behalf of Administrator;
to do so push the right mouse button on anpr_setup.exe file and choose Run as Administrator
CAUTION! Running NumberOk Installation on behalf of the Administrator is a mandatory condition for correct installation.
The language chosen at this stage does not affect NumberOk UI interface.
NumberOk could work with existing protection software on the server
CAUTION! At the next stage NumberOk establishes a connection with our licensing server as a part of the license activation process.
Your antivirus and/or firewall software (e.g. Microsoft Defender) may recognize this activity as malicious and report a virus detection
(the type depends on antivirus software).
At the same moment MS Installer reports an error as connection’s been blocked.
Commercial license requires a single communication session with the license server.
The demo license will require regular communications for demo eligibility confirmation.
NumberOk also communicates to the FireBird database over TCP/IP, which also may be deemed as suspicious behavior.
Possible solutions are:
add exclusion with an exception for network connectivity (won’t work for demo license) and employ manual activation (see Offline activation section below);
add exclusion to your anti-virus software and/or whitelist host shop.number-ok.com and IP of the computer hosting FireBird RDBMS at your system firewall.
Insert the License Key you obtained:
Upon the license key input, the activation process of NumberOk will run.
There are two possible options:
CAUTION! At the moment of the License Key input for online activation Internet connection is required.
For the demo version to work, a permanent Internet connection is essential.
Upon valid activation key input, having no Internet connectivity, click the Next button to access the software offline activation form:
Please, copy and send the full content from the second input field to support@team.ff-group.org .
Data line titled Request is much longer than the form’s visible part; make sure to copy the entire line.
The Support Team will then send you a response string that you will put into the bottom field, press OK to proceed.
Please, note that request-response action will take time and consider opting for online activation.
At the next stage please specify the working directory.
NumberOk3.fbk database file, NumberOk.ini settings file and NumberOk.log log-file will be placed in this directory.
Choose a different drive in case there is not enough space at drive C.
Specify the database access parameters:.
There is two possible options to connect the database to NumberOk:
Local configuration in case the database and NumberOk are installed on the same PC.
Client-server configuration in case database and NumberOk (or several NumberOk instances) are installed on different PCs.
