Managing License Plate Blacklist and Whitelist

Managing License Plate Blacklist and Whitelist

CAMMRA offers the functionality to add license plates to both the blacklist and whitelist. You can conveniently add license plates directly through the web interface or import them from a CSV file. Here's how to manage the lists:

  1. Web Interface Blacklisting and Whitelisting:

    • Access the CAMMRA application's web page.

    • Navigate to the appropriate section or tab for managing license plate lists.

    • To add a license plate to the blacklist, enter the license plate number directly or use a license plate pattern with wildcards.

      • For example, to blacklist license plates starting with "SL" followed by any three characters, use the pattern "SL???". The question mark represents any single character.
      • Similarly, use an asterisk () to represent any number of characters in a license plate. For instance, to blacklist license plates starting with "M" followed by any number of characters, use the pattern "M".
    • Optionally, provide a description for each blacklisted license plate for reference purposes.

    • Save the changes to update the blacklist with the specified license plates.

    • To add a license plate to the whitelist, follow the same steps as for the blacklist, but in the appropriate section or tab for managing the whitelist. Use the license plate patterns or direct entries as required.

    • Save the changes to update the whitelist with the specified license plates.

  2. CSV File Import:

    • Prepare a CSV file adhering to the following structure: License Plate, Description.
    • Each row of the CSV file should contain a license plate number and an optional description.
    • To blacklist license plates using patterns, use the wildcard symbols as described above in the license plate field.
    • To import the CSV file, locate the import functionality within the CAMMRA web interface.
    • Select the CSV file and initiate the import process.
    • The license plates and their corresponding descriptions, if provided, will be added to the respective lists.

By utilizing the web interface and importing CSV files, you can efficiently manage both the blacklist and whitelist in CAMMRA. This capability allows you to effectively control which license plates are recognized and analyzed by the application.
